Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of venetoclax (VEN) in combination with chemotherapy (chemo) versus chemo alone in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Method: To compare the efficacy and/or safety of VEN+chemo versus chemotherapy alone for AML, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were used to searching up to June 2023. Comparisons included complete remission (CR), CR with incomplete hematologic recovery (CRi), morphologic leukemia-free state (MLFS), overall response rate (ORR), and adverse events (AEs). Result: A total of 9 articles were included, including 3124 patients. The baseline characteristics between two patient groups were similar. The combined analysis showed that compared with the group receiving chemo alone, the VEN+chemo group exhibited higher rates of CR, CRi, MLFS and ORR. Additionally, the VEN+chemo group had longer event-free survival (EFS) and overall survival (OS) durations. The incidence rates of AEs and serious AEs (SAEs) were similar between the two groups, but the early 30-day mortality rate was lower in the VEN+chemo group than in the chemo alone group. Conclusion: The VEN+chemo therapy demonstrates significant efficacy and safety profile in AML patients. However, more prospective studies are needed in the future to provide more accurate and robust evidence for treatment selection in patients. Seminal roots play a critical role in water and nutrient absorption, particularly in the early developmental stages of wheat. However, the genes responsible for controlling SRN in wheat remain largely unknown. Genetic mapping and functional analyses identified a candidate gene (TraesCS3D01G137200, TaSRN-3D) encoding a Ser/Thr kinase glycogen synthase kinase 3 (STKc_GSK3) that regulated SRN in wheat. Additionally, experiments involving hormone treatment, nitrate absorption and protein interaction were conducted to explore the regulatory mechanism of TaSRN-3D. Results showed that the TaSRN-3D4332 allele inhibited seminal roots initiation and development, while loss-of-function mutants showed significantly higher seminal root number (SRN). Exogenous application of epi-brassinolide could increase the SRN in a HS2-allelic background. Furthermore, chlorate sensitivity and 15N uptake assays revealed that a higher number of seminal roots promoted nitrate accumulation. TaBSR1 (BIN2-related SRN Regulator 1, orthologous to OsGRF4/GL2 in rice) acts as an interactor of TaSRN-3D and promotes TaBSR1 degradation to reduce SRN. This study provides valuable insights into understanding the genetic basis and regulatory network of SRN in wheat, highlighting their roles as potential targets for root-based improvement in wheat breeding.

In biomedical literature, biological pathways are commonly described through a combination of images and text. These pathways contain valuable information, including genes and their relationships, which provide insight into biological mechanisms and precision medicine. Curating pathway information across the literature enables the integration of this information to build a comprehensive knowledge base. While some studies have extracted pathway information from images and text independently, they often overlook the correspondence between the two modalities. In this paper, we present a pathway figure curation system named pathCLIP for identifying genes and gene relations from pathway figures. Our key innovation is the use of an image-text contrastive learning model to learn coordinated embeddings of image snippets and text descriptions of genes and gene relations, thereby improving curation. Our validation results, using pathway figures from PubMed, showed that our multimodal model outperforms models using only a single modality. Additionally, our system effectively curates genes and gene relations from multiple literature sources. Two case studies on extracting pathway information from literature of non-small cell lung cancer and Alzheimer's disease further demonstrate the usefulness of our curated pathway information in enhancing related pathways in the KEGG database.

Understanding the environmental health and safety of nanomaterials (NanoEHS) is essential for the sustained development of nanotechnology. Although extensive research over the past two decades has elucidated the phenomena, mechanisms, and implications of nanomaterials in cellular and organismal models, the active remediation of the adverse biological and environmental effects of nanomaterials remains largely unexplored. Inspired by recent developments in functional amyloids for biomedical and environmental engineering, this work shows their new utility as metallothionein mimics in the strategically important area of NanoEHS. Specifically, metal ions released from CuO and ZnO nanoparticles are sequestered through cysteine coordination and electrostatic interactions with beta-lactoglobulin (bLg) amyloid, as revealed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry and molecular dynamics simulations. The toxicity of the metal oxide nanoparticles is subsequently mitigated by functional amyloids, as validated by cell viability and apoptosis assays in vitro and murine survival and biomarker assays in vivo. As bLg amyloid fibrils can be readily produced from whey in large quantities at a low cost, the study offers a crucial strategy for remediating the biological and environmental footprints of transition metal oxide nanomaterials.

Peptide design, with the goal of identifying peptides possessing unique biological properties, stands as a crucial challenge in peptide-based drug discovery. While traditional and computational methods have made significant strides, they often encounter hurdles due to the complexities and costs of laboratory experiments. Recent advancements in deep learning and Bayesian Optimization have paved the way for innovative research in this domain. In this context, our study presents a novel approach that effectively combines protein structure prediction with Bayesian Optimization for peptide design. By applying carefully designed objective functions, we guide and enhance the optimization trajectory for new peptide sequences. Benchmarked against multiple native structures, our methodology is tailored to generate new peptides to their optimal potential biological properties.

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is characterized by lung tissue oedema and inflammatory cell infiltration, with limited therapeutic interventions available. Receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1), a critical regulator of cell death and inflammation implicated in many diseases, is not fully understood in the context of ARDS. In this study, we employed RIP1 kinase-inactivated (Rip1K45A/K45A) mice and two distinct RIPK1 inhibitors to investigate the contributions of RIP1 kinase activity in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ARDS pathology. Our results indicated that RIPK1 kinase inactivation, achieved through both genetic and chemical approaches, significantly attenuated LPS-induced ARDS pathology, as demonstrated by reduced polymorphonuclear neutrophil percentage (PMN%) in alveolar lavage fluid, expression of inflammatory and fibrosis-related factors in lung tissues, as well as histological examination. Results by tunnel staining and qRT-PCR analysis indicated that RIPK1 kinase activity played a role in regulating cell apoptosis and inflammation induced by LPS administration in lung tissue. In summary, employing both pharmacological and genetic approaches, this study demonstrated that targeted RIPK1 kinase inactivation attenuates the pathological phenotype induced by LPS inhalation in an ARDS mouse model. This study enhances our understanding of the therapeutic potential of RIPK1 kinase modulation in ARDS, providing insights for the pathogenesis of ARDS.

Electrospun membranes have been widely used in tissue engineering. Regretfully, there is limited research on how its morphological characteristics precisely regulate macrophage activation and immune response. Therefore, we prepared electrospun poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) membranes with different alignments (align and random) and diameters (nanoscale and microscale) to investigate the effects of different surface morphologies on M2 macrophage polarization. Additionally, we combined transcriptome, proteome, and phosphoproteome sequencing to examine the underlying regulatory mechanisms. The results showed that the electrospun PLLA membranes with different surface morphologies had good biocompatibility and could regulate the phenotype and function of macrophages by changing the micromorphology of the matrix surface. Especially, macrophages cultured on the electrospun membranes of the A600 group exhibited higher M2 macrophage polarization than the other three groups. Furthermore, the findings demonstrated that electrospun PLLA membranes enhance AMPK/mTOR signaling activation by up-regulating the expression of integrin PCK2, which is critical for M2 macrophage polarization. Taken together, electrospun PLLA membranes promote M2 macrophage polarization by regulating the PCK2/AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway. Our research can provide further theoretical bases for scaffold design, immunoregulatory mechanisms, and clinical application based on electrospinning technology in the future. Objective: Early detection, diagnosis, treatment and management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can lower morbidity and perhaps mortality. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the application of standardized management against the background of the rapid development of the big data center of modern internet of things technology. Methods: Participants ≥40 years of age with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease presenting at Xiamen Medical College Affiliated Haicang Hospital from October 2019 to October 2020 were selected as the observation patients based on the Internet of Things big data center for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease standardized management, and control patients from the community were selected for without down to the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease standardized management. Follow-up after 2 years of patient health records and acute episodes using the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire-Brief version to evaluate the quality of life of the two groups revealed differences. Results: The results of comparative analysis of the number of acute attacks before and after follow-up in the observation and control groups after propensity score matching showed that the decrease in acute episodes before and after in the observation group was significant compared with that in the control group (t = -3.664, P < 0.001). The quality of life of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients indicated that the effect in the observation group was greater than that in the control group according to the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire-Brief version. Conclusion: In this study, we analyzed the application of modern internet of things technology in the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients, discussed the effect of standardized management, and promoted the self-management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients. The effectiveness and continuity of the standardized management model for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease implemented in Xiamen city based on the internet of things big data center were considered true and effective.

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is one of the common sports injuries. Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) is the mainstream treatment for ACL injury, aiming to regain normal anatomical structure and stability of the knee joint and promote the patient's return to sports. Under the guidance of the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery, early weight-bearing rehabilitation (EWB) is an important factor affecting patient function and quality of life. However, there is no consensus on whether EWB rehabilitation can be performed after ACL surgery. This study aims to explore the safety and feasibility of EWB after ACL surgery. The study implemented a gradual EWB rehabilitation program in the experimental group, including weight-shifting training, balance training, and gait training on the affected lower limb, and assessed wound healing and stability of the knee joint. The study found that EWB after ACLR is safe and feasible. EWB rehabilitation not only does not pose a negative effect on the patient's knee pain, swelling, wound healing, and stability, but also helps to improve knee active flexion and quality of life faster and better. The EWB program in this study is simple, safe, and effective, and it provides strong theoretical guidance and practical demonstration for accelerated rehabilitation after ACLR.

BACKGROUND: Heterosexual contact is the primary mode of HIV transmission in China and commercial sex is thought to play a crucial role in China's epidemic. Female sex workers (FSWs) in China tend to be either brothel-based (BSWs) or street-based (SSWs), but few studies have investigated the differences between these important segments of this difficult-to-reach, high-risk population. Our aim was to explore the differences between SSWs and BSWs in terms of socio-demographic characteristics, sexual and risky practices, HIV/STI-related knowledge, health services, HIV/STI prevalence and other aspects. METHODS: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in Yunnan Province of China in partnership with a local FSW-friendly non-governmental organization. Face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire were conducted to collect data on socio-demographic characteristics, sex work history, sexual behaviours, HIV/STI-related knowledge, HIV testing history, and healthcare services uptake. Blood samples were taken for HIV and syphilis testing, and urine samples for gonorrhea and chlamydia testing. Descriptive statistics were used to evaluate differences between SSWs and BSWs. RESULTS: A total of 185 BSWs and 129 SSWs were included in the study. SSWs were older and less educated, had more dependents and more clients, lower condom use and accessed fewer healthcare services. Moreover, 37.2% of SSWs and 24.9% of BSWs were found to have HIV/STI infection. Unfortunately, the awareness related to STIs was relatively low in both groups, especially SSWs. CONCLUSIONS: Our study provides evidence that confirms the disproportionately high vulnerability of SSWs to HIV and other STIs, underscoring the urgent need for the Chinese health and public health sectors to prioritize outreach to SSWs. Awareness and educational programs, condom distribution, testing and health check-ups should be included in a comprehensive strategy for HIV/STI prevention in this high-risk population.

In this work, we explore information geometry theoretic measures for characterizing neural information processing from EEG signals simulated by stochastic nonlinear coupled oscillator models for both healthy subjects and Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients with both eyes-closed and eyes-open conditions. In particular, we employ information rates to quantify the time evolution of probability density functions of simulated EEG signals, and employ causal information rates to quantify one signal's instantaneous influence on another signal's information rate. These two measures help us find significant and interesting distinctions between healthy subjects and AD patients when they open or close their eyes. These distinctions may be further related to differences in neural information processing activities of the corresponding brain regions, and to differences in connectivities among these brain regions. Our results show that information rate and causal information rate are superior to their more traditional or established information-theoretic counterparts, i.e., differential entropy and transfer entropy, respectively. Since these novel, information geometry theoretic measures can be applied to experimental EEG signals in a model-free manner, and they are capable of quantifying non-stationary time-varying effects, nonlinearity, and non-Gaussian stochasticity presented in real-world EEG signals, we believe that they can form an important and powerful tool-set for both understanding neural information processing in the brain and the diagnosis of neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease as presented in this work.

Fenvalerate (FEN), a type II pyrethroid pesticide, finds extensive application in agriculture, graziery and public spaces for pest control, resulting in severe environmental pollution. As an environmental endocrine disruptor with estrogen-like activity, exposure to FEN exhibited adverse effects on ovarian functions. Additionally, the presence of the metabolite of FEN in women's urine shows a positive association with the risk of primary ovarian insufficiency (POI). In mammals, the primordial follicle pool established during the early life serves as a reservoir for storing all available oocytes throughout the female reproductive life. The initial size of the primordial follicle pool and the rate of its depletion affect the occurrence of POI. Nevertheless, there is very limited research about the impact of FEN exposure on primordial folliculogenesis. In this study, pregnant mice were orally administrated with 0.2, 2.0 and 20.0 mg/kg FEN from 16.5 to 18.5 days post-coitus (dpc). Ovaries exposed to FEN exhibited the presence of large germ-cell cysts that persist on 1 days post-parturition (1 dpp), followed by a significant reduction in the total number of oocytes in pups on 5 dpp. Moreover, the levels of m6A-RNA and its associated proteins METTL3 and YTHDF2 were significantly increased in the ovaries exposed to FEN. The increased YTHDF2 promoted the assembly of the cytoplasmic processing bodies (P-body) in the oocytes, accompanied with altered expression of transcripts. Additionally, when YTHDF2 was knocked-down in fetal ovary cultures, the primordial folliculogenesis disrupted by FEN exposure was effectively restored. Further, the female offspring exposed to FEN displayed ovarian dysfunctions reminiscent of POI in early adulthood, characterized by decreases in ovarian coefficient and female hormone levels. Therefore, the present study revealed that exposure to FEN during late pregnancy disrupted primordial folliculogenesis by YTHDF2-mediated P-body assembly, causing enduring adverse effects on female fertility.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was extraordinarily harmful, with high rates of infection and hospitalization. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 vaccination status and other factors on hospitalization and disease severity, using data from Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection with vaccination status were included and the differences in characteristics between different vaccination statuses, hospitalization or not, and patients with varying levels of disease severity were analyzed. Furthermore, logistic regression was used to calculate odds ratio (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) to evaluate the association of various factors with hospitalization and disease severity. From March 14, 2020 to August 31, 2022, 23,139 patients were unvaccinated 13,668 vaccinated the primary program with one or two doses, and 4,575 completed the booster. Vaccination reduced the risk of hospitalization with an odd ratio of 0.759 (95% CI: 0.654-0.881) and the protective effect of completed booster vaccination was more pronounced (OR: 0.261, 95% CI: 0.207-0.328). Similarly, vaccination significantly reduced the risk of disease severity (vaccinated primary program: OR: 0.191, 95% CI: 0.160-0.228; completed booster vaccination: OR: 0.129, 95% CI: 0.099-0.169). Overall, unvaccinated, male, elderly, immunocompromised, obese, and patients with other severe illness factors were all risk factors for COVID-19-related hospitalization and disease severity. Vaccination was associated with a decreased risk of hospitalization and disease severity, and highlighted the benefits of completing booster.

Symbiodinium are the photosynthetic endosymbionts for corals and play a vital role in supplying their coral hosts with photosynthetic products, forming the nutritional foundation for high-yield coral reef ecosystems. Here, we determine the cryo-electron microscopy structure of Symbiodinium photosystem I (PSI) supercomplex with a PSI core composed of 13 subunits including 2 previously unidentified subunits, PsaT and PsaU, as well as 13 peridinin-Chl a/c-binding light-harvesting antenna proteins (AcpPCIs). The PSI-AcpPCI supercomplex exhibits distinctive structural features compared to their red lineage counterparts, including extended termini of PsaD/E/I/J/L/M/R and AcpPCI-1/3/5/7/8/11 subunits, conformational changes in the surface loops of PsaA and PsaB subunits, facilitating the association between the PSI core and peripheral antennae. Structural analysis and computational calculation of excitation energy transfer rates unravel specific pigment networks in Symbiodinium PSI-AcpPCI for efficient excitation energy transfer. Overall, this study provides a structural basis for deciphering the mechanisms governing light harvesting and energy transfer in Symbiodinium PSI-AcpPCI supercomplexes adapted to their symbiotic ecosystem, as well as insights into the evolutionary diversity of PSI-LHCI among various photosynthetic organisms.

Arsenic (As) is a widespread metalloid with well-known toxicity. To date, numerous studies have focused on individual level toxicity (e.g., growth and reproduction) of As to typical invertebrate springtails in soils, however, the molecular level toxicity and mechanism was poorly understood. Here, an integrated transcriptomics and metabolomics approach was used to reveal responses of Folsomia candida exposed to As(V) of 10 and 60 mg kg-1 at which the individual level endpoints were influenced. Transcriptomics identified 5349 and 4020 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in low and high concentration groups, respectively, and the most DEGs were down-regulated. Enrichment analysis showed that low and high concentrations of As(V) significantly inhibited chromatin/chromosome-related biological processes (chromatin/chromosome organization, nucleosome assembly and organization, etc.) in springtails. At high concentration treatment, structural constituent of cuticle, chitin metabolic process and peptidase activity (serine-type peptidase activity, endopeptidase activity, etc.) were inhibited or disturbed. Moreover, the apoptosis pathway was significantly induced. Metabolomics analysis identified 271 differential changed metabolites (DCMs) in springtails exposed to high concentration of As. Steroid hormone biosynthesis was the most significantly affected pathway. Several DCMs that related to chitin metabolism could further support above transcriptomic results. These findings further extended the knowledge of As toxic mechanisms to soil fauna and offer important information for the environmental risk assessment.

INTRODUCTION: Smoking prevalence is high in China, and healthcare workers are important for tobacco control. This study aimed to determine the smoking status, cognition of tobacco hazards, and smoking cessation-related knowledge among respiratory healthcare workers, and to explore their ability to provide smoking cessation assistance. METHODS: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 2021 among 1028 respiratory healthcare workers from 89 hospitals in Fujian Province, China. A self-designed electronic questionnaire was used to collect data on smoking status, knowledge of smoking hazards, and smoking cessation knowledge. Descriptive statistics were calculated for all questions. Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between awareness of the tobacco control goals of Healthy China 2030 and demographic characteristics. RESULTS: Among the healthcare workers surveyed, 3.4% were smokers, all of whom were male. Most respondents (99.4%) were aware of smoking as a cause of lung cancer, but awareness of smoking as a cause of non-respiratory cancer was lower. The awareness rate of smoking cessation support was high (>90%), but only 40.0% of participants were aware of the Healthy China 2030 tobacco control targets. Male (HR=2.16; 95% CI: 1.69-2.80) and participation in the cessation clinic (HR=1.47; 95% CI: 1.10-1.96) were associated with higher awareness of the targets. CONCLUSIONS: Respiratory healthcare workers in Fujian Province demonstrated a high level of awareness regarding behavioral and pharmacotherapy support for smoking cessation. In order to enable healthcare workers to play a more active role in tobacco control, there is a need to increase public awareness of smoking cessation services in Fujian Province.

Optically excited electronic excitations are coupled to the soft and polar halide perovskite lattice, generating coherent phonons after subpicosecond interband laser-excitation. In Ag-based halide double perovskites, Ag-vacancies can bind free excitons, resulting in a pronounced bound exciton resonance. Here, we report the detection of three modulation frequencies corresponding to coherent phonons in Ag-based double perovskite nanocrystals at distinct spectral positions at the bound exciton resonance. Two of them are found in oscillatory spectral shifts of the bound exciton resonance and are identified as Cs- and Br-related bulk phonons. Surprisingly, a third frequency is observed as an intensity modulation. We argue that this amplitude oscillation is a consequence of an optically generated vibronic wave packet localized at a Ag-vacancy. Consequently, the localized coherent phonon modulates the giant oscillator strength of the bound exciton. This optically induced and spatially localized lattice shaking could potentially be useful for initiating photochemical reactions with atomic precision.

OBJECTIVE: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a slowly progressive neurodegenerative disorder with insidious onset. Accurate prediction of the disease progression has received increasing attention. Cognitive scores that reflect patients' cognitive status have become important criteria for predicting AD. Most existing methods consider the relationship between neuroimages and cognitive scores to improve prediction results. However, the inherent structure information in interrelated cognitive scores is rarely considered. METHOD: In this study, we propose a relation-aware tensor completion multitask learning method (RATC-MTL), in which the cognitive scores are represented as a third-order tensor to preserve the global structure information in clinical scores. We combine both tensor completion and linear regression into a unified framework, which allows us to capture both inter and intra modes correlations in cognitive tensor with a low-rank constraint, as well as incorporate the relationship between biological features and cognitive status by imposing a regression model on multiple cognitive scores. RESULT: Compared to the single-task and state-of-the-art multi-task algorithms, our proposed method obtains the best results for predicting cognitive scores in terms of four commonly used metrics. Furthermore, the overall performance of our method in classifying AD progress is also the best. CONCLUSION: Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework in fully exploring the global structure information in cognitive scores. SIGNIFICANCE: This study introduces a novel concept of leveraging tensor completion to assist in disease diagnoses, potentially offering a solution to the issue of data scarcity encountered in prolonged monitoring scenarios.

Ganoderma lucidum (GL) is a mushroom that has been widely used in Asia for its immunostimulatory and anti-inflammatory capacity, which has been hypothesized to be attributed mainly to the recognition of its cell-surface patterns by cells of the immune system present in the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in a cascade of modulatory events. However, the nutraceutical properties of GL have not been tested in dogs. Forty adult beagles were used in a completely randomized design. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effects of dietary inclusion of GL on peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC; T cells, B cells, monocytes, and natural killers), vaccine response, nutrient digestibility, fecal fermentative end-products, and skin and coat quality of adult dogs. Dogs were fed a commercial dry extruded complete and balanced diet plus GL top-dressed daily upon feeding time. Four experimental treatments were used: 0% GL supplementation (control), 5 mg/kg BW of GL, 10 mg/kg BW of GL, or 15 mg/kg BW of GL. Following a 7 d adaptation to the control diet, dogs were fed their respective treatment diets for 28 d. They were challenged with vaccination of a modified live virus Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 1 (Hepatitis), Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus and killed Rabies Virus on day 7 with blood collections on days 0, 14, and 28. The inclusion of GL in all dosages was well-accepted by all dogs, with no detrimental effect on macronutrient apparent total tract digestibility. There was a trend that the percentage of major histocompatibility II (MHC-II) from B cells was greater in dogs fed 15 mg/kg of GL (41.91%) compared to the control group (34.63%). The phagocytosis response tended to have treatment-by-time interaction among treatments; dogs fed 15 mg/kg of GL tended to have greater phagocytosis activity on day 28 than dogs from the control group and dogs fed 5 mg/kg of GL. The vaccine-specific serum immunoglobulin G (IgG) concentrations were higher in the group supplemented with 15 mg/kg of GL compared to treatment control 7 d after the vaccination for rabies. These data suggest that the inclusion of GL had no detrimental effects on any analyzed PBMC. Due to changes in immune parameters among treatments, GL may also exert beneficial immunostimulatory effects in healthy adult dogs when provided at a daily dose of 15 mg/ kg BW.


Ganoderma lucidum (GL) is a fungus from which products have become popular in the human food and health industry over the past decade. Due to this, a growing interest in using GL extracts in animal products has also developed. The current study investigated the nutritional properties of GL supplemented to adult beagles in three different inclusion levels in terms of body weight (BW; 5, 10, and 15 mg/kg BW). The results indicated no impact on the overall health, apparent total tract macronutrient digestibility (ATTD), fecal microbial DNA, and skin and coat health. The highlighted results included increased phagocytic activity and vaccine-specific response in the group of dogs supplemented with 15 mg/kg BW.
